I’m taller than him. (tall)

Aquela vaca é mais gorda do que as outras.

That cow is fatter than the rest. (fat)

A casa dele é maior que a do vizinho.

His house is bigger than his neighbor’s. (big)

 

Bom-melhor (better), Mau-pior (worse)

Meu celular é melhor que o seu.

My cell phone is better than your’s.

Ser reprovado é pior do que estudar.

Failing is worse than studying.

 

Adjectives ending in ‘Y’

Ela é mais bela que você.

She’s prettier than you. (pretty)

Cozinhar é mais fácil do que caçar.

Cooking is easier than hunting. (easy)

 

Long adjectives

Basquete é mais interessante que futebol.

Basketball is more interesting than soccer.

Este diamante é mais caro que um carro.
